Batteries of the future

New battery chemistries and materials with higher efficiencies feature in a keynote address to the “Battery Tech for EV 2022” conference in Sweden December 8 and 9.

Battery 2030 coordinator and Uppsala University inorganic chemistry professor Kristina Edstrom will talk about “The Smart, Safe and Ultrahigh Performance Batteries of the Future – what can we hope for?” during her keynote presentation.

She will also cover how much battery capacity can be realistically reached, the time frame and issues which need addressing to reach safe and ultrahigh performance.

Polestar, Volvo Cars and Scania Group feature in the Gothenburg conference programme, expected to attract about 100 research and development engineers working with battery tech development, innovation and testing within the vehicle OEMs and battery manufacturers.
