Tesla drops price again on some EVs

Tesla has reduced prices on its entry-level Model Y and Model 3.
The price changes mean the Model Y is now available from $73,900 while the Model 3 is offered from $68,900 – putting the latter within about $6000 of the BYD Atto 3 60kWh model (from $52,900).
Tesla Performance models in the Model Y and Model 3 range remain unchanged.
We reported on Tesla price reductions in January.
Meanwhile, Stuff also reports the Tesla price changes, adding the Model Y and Model 3 prices have come down by between $5000 and $6000 in the first two months of 2023.
It adds that Tesla price reductions here appear to mirror those in North America, but that some Tesla prices increased elsewhere such as Australia and China.
Stuff points out that Tesla may have reduced EV prices in various regions to match some emerging competitors.
