Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid PHEV coming to NZ
The Turbo E-Hybrid is the second of three hybrid models that Porsche will be introducing this year.
The plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) SUV can be ordered now from $309,000 (manufacturer suggested retail price), while the coupé version starts at $297,200 (recommended retail price before statutory on-road and dealer delivery charges).
First arrivals are expected in New Zealand from late 2023 or early 2024.
The Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid’s V8 and electric motor generate 544kW power and 950Nm torque and has a 25.9kWh battery allowing greater range (unspecified) and faster charging.
The Turbo E-Hybrid accelerates from zero to 100km/h in 3.7 seconds and reaches a 295km/h top speed on the track under test conditions.

Compared to its predecessor, the new Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid offers considerably greater electric range and shorter charging times, a new 11kW on-board charger allowing under 2.5 hours charging at a suitable wall charger or charging station, says Porsche.
Both new models have as standard the adaptive air suspension with two-chamber, two-valve technology, enhancing comfort and safety.
Porsche torque vectoring plus (PTV Plus) is also standard in the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, with the rear-axle steering feature available as an option.
Both body variants bear the distinctive front-end styling reserved for Turbo models, with enlarged cooling air intakes accented by shiny black air blades.
Wheel arch trims, and exterior-colour rear bumper further underscore the performance-focused character of the model which also includes two twin tailpipes in brushed stainless steel and red brake calipers.
Inside, aluminium dashboard and door panel trim inlays feature, Race-Tex lines the roof and a heated GT sports steering wheel, a mode switch for fast and direct selection of the desired driving mode, and 18-way adaptive and adjustable leather sports seats are standard. Alternatively, 14-way adjustable leather comfort seats are also available.
Features introduced in the early 2023 model upgrade are included, such as a new cockpit with an all-digital instrument cluster in a curved and free-standing design with variable display options, a redesigned centre console and the optional passenger display.
