The Take Charge Christchurch Expo features the latest battery electric vehicles (BEVs), allowing people to see the vehicle technology available to make the switch from fossil-fuelled vehicles.

The two-day expo run by Take Charge Events will be at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre on November 25 and 26, free for the public to attend.

About 46 battery electric cars, vans and a ute will be at the expo, making it the biggest display of new BEVs in the country and covering a range of price points, says Take Charge Events director Kevin Crutchley.

Abarth, Audi, BMW, BYD, Citroen, CUPRA, Fiat, Ford, Genesis, GWM, Hyundai, Jeep, Kia, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, MG, Opel, Peugeot, Polestar, Porsche, Skoda, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, Volvo, LDV, are among four-wheeled brands represented.

A range of EV chargers and battery electric outboard motors will be displayed too.

Crutchley says anyone with an interest in BEVs is welcome and can ask questions of exhibitors, with prizes available courtesy of some exhibitors.

The Take Charge Christchurch Expo is open to the public from 10am to 5pm Saturday November 25, and from 9am to 4pm on Sunday November 26.

People can enter Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre via the main entrance on Oxford Terrace.
