E-bike expos this year postponed till 2025

“EBike Expo NZ” events in Christchurch and Auckland, initially planned for October and November 2024 respectively, have been postponed until next year.

“We have heard that the e-bike industry hasn’t quite bounced back to pre-COVID levels like everyone had hoped,” says expo organiser Icon Conference and Event Management managing director Marleen Goedhart, adding that if exhibitor support isn’t there then the expos can’t run.

Both were also postponed in earlier years, including 2023, largely due to COVID-19 restrictions, after successful Auckland e-bike expos in 2018, 2019 and 2022.

Goedhart says the e-bike market is steadily increasing in sales volumes, and the e-bike expo is expected to run in 2025 as normal.
