All-new Outlander and revised Eclipse Cross confirmed for NZ
Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand head of marketing and sales Daniel Cook has confirmed that the all-new 2021 Outlander SUV and the revised Eclipse Cross will be coming to our market.
“We will absolutely be bringing these two exciting new models to New Zealand, starting with the Eclipse Cross,” Cook says.
“The Outlander in particular, is a massive evolution of the product range, being a ground-up rebuild with significant new technologies, including development of our electrification platform,” he says.
Cook also confirmed that diesel versions are a very small part of current Outlander sales and demand for it is increasingly diminishing.
But he says the distributor is expecting a significant sales volume from the new model when launched in 2021.
He says New Zealand pricing and specification for the Outlander will become available next year.
The manufacturer, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) says the redesigned and reimagined 2021 Outlander will incorporate its latest design language with a bold and distinctive appearance.
It says the bigger 2021 Outlander will be the quietest and best-equipped Mitsubishi vehicle yet sold in the New Zealand market.
Loaded with technology and significant interior refinements, the vehicle will surprise many says MMC.
Further details will be announced in a global reveal and launch event in 2021.
The significant update to the current Eclipse Cross will incorporate major front and rear design enhancements, taking cues from Mitsubishi’s next-generation design language.
The new Eclipse Cross will offer a fresh new look, revised interior, and new infotainment system says MMC.
