Auckland electric Mahu City Express buses offer e-scooter option

The electric Mahu City Express commuter e-bus service between Warkworth and downtown Auckland will provide e-scooters for customers’ first- and last-mile commutes from January next year on its booking app.

The e-scooters fold up and are stored under the eCoach, the company explains on LinkedIn.

“The whole multi-nodal zero-emission commute will be provided within a single ecosystem, in what we believe is a world first,” it says.

The e-scooter option is included in a Stuff story which mentions the coachline added two electric luxury e-coaches to its fleet earlier this year with the help of co-funding through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA).
