BYD app launches

BYD has officially launched its app into New Zealand, offering buyers long awaited features like remote unlocking and climate pre-conditioning.

The app is free to download, and works with all Atto 3 that are up-to-date with their over-the-air updates, and in the case of some early delivery cars have had their SIM card replaced.

The app allows the remote locking and unlocking of the car, turning on of the car to pre-condition, turning heated seats on and off, activating the horn and lights, monitoring of tyre pressures, monitoring of door and window status, and share alerts.

EVs and Beyond tested the app in ‘beta’ form earlier this year, with subsequent changes made by BYD in response to require the car to be unlocked a second time before driving away when started by the app.
