ChargeNet prices change November 30

ChargeNet has issued a reminder that its EV charging price structure changes from November 30.

We mentioned the changes on November 2, which include a $1 “idle” fee that starts five minutes after charging finishes.

ChargeNet says its tariff and pricing structure haven’t kept pace with the rapidly changing EV market or its new service offerings.

“We’re removing the per-minute rate and implementing a three-tiered tariff structure based primarily on charge point speed and energy consumption,” says the company.

ChargeNet adds the new pricing structure is easier to understand and fairer for all its customers, bringing New Zealand in line with the rest of the world.
