Chilly test for new Jeep PHEV models
Jeep has released a video of its new plug-in hybrid EV Renegade and Compass models under winter testing at a proving ground in Arjeplog, Swedish Lapland.
The new PHEV models herald a new era for the American brand and were driven more than 3800km from the Mirafiori Plant in Turin, Italy to Arjeplog as part of the testing procedure.
Over the course of one week, the first Jeep PHEV models in the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) region were put through their paces in real-world scenarios, that customers themselves could encounter, as the vehicles’ advanced plug-in hybrid systems were tested to their limits.
Jeep says the new Renegade and Compass 4xe have been subjected to a wide range of processes to guarantee quality, safety, reliability and comfort in all conditions. The video highlights the technicians and engineers who run tests, checks, validations and fatigue testing in very different scenarios every day.
