Daimler delivers e-trucks in Europe
Daimler is now delivering all-electric trucks in Europe.
The first of the Fuso eCanters have been presented by Daimler Trucks to logistics companies DHL (which has also ordered 10 Tesla Semi trucks and 2500 e-vans), DB Schenker, Rhenus and Dachser.
“We are delivering the first all-electric truck in series production to our customers in Europe,” Daimler Trucks Asia head Marc Llistosella says.

He says noise, emissions, fleet sustainability and economics were the key customer drivers in switching to electric.
“This is the future of urban distribution transport.”
The Fuso eCanter is designed for urban routes with a 100km range and 3.17 tonnes load capacity, depending on body and use.
Daimler is also working on the bigger eTruck, which can carry up to 23.5 tonnes and has about a 200km range.
Over the next few years, all Daimler truck and bus models will offer one additional electric variant.
