Dekra expanding EVs in China
German testing, inspection and certification firm Dekra Group will expand its lab space in Hefei, Anhui province, for information technology, household appliances and electric vehicle industries in China’s eastern region.
That’s according to China Daily which quotes Dekra’s Asia-Pacific head Mike Walsh who visited several Chinese cities in March to seek new business opportunities.
With China entering a new era of green and innovation-led growth, Walsh says Dekra has benefited considerably, especially in areas such as renewable energy, automotive manufacturing and green development, as well as high-tech fields, such as semiconductors.
Walsh expects Dekra’s sales revenue will increase up to 20% annually in China this year.
Dekra opened a renewable testing centre in Shanghai last year and is working with several local firms on energy storage and hydrogen energy.
