Ducati motorcycles are well known, but now there’s a range of electric scooters and folding electric bikes on the way.

The Italian company, along with licensee and commercial partner MT Distribution, is presenting seven new products – four electric scooters and three folding e-bikes under the Ducati, Ducati Corse and Ducati Scrambler brand.

The entire line will be available for purchase during 2020, the first e-scooters Cross-E launching June 20 and the Pro II on July 6.

The Ducati Design Centre designed them and collaborated with Italdesign on the folding e-bikes.

E-scooters from the Ducati and MT Distribution partnership have motors from 250W to 500W, while the e-bikes have 250W motors (the maximum allowed).

The Ducati Scrambler branded Cross-E scooter has “fat” anti-puncture tubeless tyres (size 110/50-6.5-inch), which are also suitable for stretches of dirt or very uneven roads.

The brushless motor provides a continuous power output of 500W and has good pick-up when starting and on uphill sections., Ducati says.

The 375Wh battery provides 30-35km range, its average speed around 15km/h with the frame giving stability and riding comfort.

A double front headlight and a large 3.5-inch LCD display are provided, the display managing all functions including three riding modes.

The Pro II has a 350W continuous brushless motor and a 280Wh battery for 25-30km range, comfort improved by rear suspension and 10-inch puncture-proof tubeless tyres.

The scooter has a double brake (electric front and rear disc) and also has a 3.5-inch LCD display.

The folding e-bikes will be launched on the market in coming weeks, equipped with rear lights integrated into the seat post, a battery hidden in the frame and activation of the lights with twilight sensors.

More information on the products will be available at the time of presentation.

Some models of scooters and e-bikes will also be available at Ducati dealers and in the Ducati Shop Online.
