Electric fleet day for Auckland next week
Fleet managers will get the chance to hear more about – and try – electric and hybrid vehicles at an event in Auckland next week.
The Drive Electric Plug-In Fleet Day is being held on April 30 at the ASB Showgrounds.
Drive Electric is the new name for what was APEV – the Association for the Promotion of Electric Vehicles.
Key speaker will be Chris Binns from the City of Sydney, whose fleet includes 18 electric vehicles, 40 hybrid cars and 66 diesel electric hybrid trucks. He will be joined by Angus Smith, Christchurch City Council; Mike Underhill EECA BUSINESS CEO and Mark Gilbert, Chair of Drive Electric as they explore the increasing motivation for plug-in vehicles in New Zealand.
Vehicles available for test will include the Audi A3 e-Tron, BMW i3, Mitsubishi Outlander and Nissan Leaf.
