EV online events lead to World EV Day
The role of EVs in Asia Pacific Cities is the subject of a webinar on World EV Day, September 9.
The latest EV trends also feature in the webinar which covers maximising the benefits of integrated urban energy systems, the event run by the Asia Pacific Urban Energy Association (APUEA) and ABB.
Speakers are included from APUEA, ABB, REN21, and C40 Cities, the session moderated by APUEA executive director Mikael Jakobsson.
The session from 13.00-14.30 Singapore Time (SGT) has ABB Asia Pacific lead division manager Sami Raitakoski joining Jakobsson for the introduction.
That’s followed by APUEA operations head Peter Lundberg talking about meeting EVs’ increased electricity demand, ABB Asia Pacific EV charging solutions lead Kumail Rashid considering the future of EV technology and C40 Cities’ zero emission vehicle network manager Anna Peiris discussing sustainable mobility developments in cities.
On the topic of transforming transportation, REN21 project manager and research coordinator Lea Ranalder covers linking EVs and renewable energy, the webinar concluding with a Q&A session.
Four videos lead up to World EV Day, on the topics of where to charge an electric car, how fast can you charge an electric car, how to install a charger, and how to charge an electric bus.
Meanwhile, people continue to be encouraged to make the switch to an EV through a pledge

On World EV Day, September 9, a whole lot more is planned.
