EV projects headline LA Auto Show

A new initiative to increase awareness about EVs dubbed EV | LA is included in the Los Angeles Auto Show from November 22 to December 1.

The aim is to demystify fears and help people make informed decisions around alternative fuel options, visitors able to sign up to take guided tours of the show floor to learn about the EV options available.

The EV | LA Lounge at the Los Angeles Convention Centre will also provide EV related information and a base for guided 90-minute LA Tours highlighting the latest electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles on the show floor and ones available for onsite test drives.

Resources for a self-guided EV tour of the show floor will also be available for visitors.

“The LA Auto Show is the premier event in California where consumers can see, touch, and ask questions about the full range of electric cars on the market. Our Electric For All campaign aims to make it easy for consumers to learn more about electric cars and their benefits, so we’re delighted to support EV | LA and the showcase tours,” Veloz executive director Josh Boone says.

LA Auto Show and AutoMobility LA president Terri Toennies says; “With Los Angeles being the top EV and overall car-buying market in the U.S., our show is an ideal platform for automotive brands and EV | LA partners to educate and inspire consumers about EVs and EV-ownership.”

Confirmed debut vehicles at the show have 38% of them electric or hybrid and will be among more than 1000 vehicles displayed.

Brands debuting EVs or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) include Audi, Bollinger Motors, Ford, Hyundai, Karma Automotive, Mini, Porsche and Volkswagen.

Jaguar and Tesla are among others offering EV test drives.

Press and trade days from November 18-21 include a mix of vehicle debuts.

This week began with the electric Ford Mustang Mach-E reveal and also includes the Tesla “Cybertruck” ute announcement separate from the show on November 21.

Other EVs and PHEVs expected to be revealed or displayed include the Lincoln Corsair PHEV, Faraday Future’s FF 91, the Karma Revero GT and SC2 Vision concept, the 2021 Toyota RAV4 PHEV, Volkswagen Space Vizzion concept, Mini Cooper SE electric, Audi e-tron Sportback, Bollinger electric ute and SUV the B1 and B2 prototypes, and possibly the Subaru Forester e-Boxer.
