EV roadshow in Taranaki
The Electrifying Conversations Roadshow of 10 EVs carrying 27 people is in Taranaki on November 6.
The inaugural event is nearing the end of its journey from Auckland where it started on November 3 following the Electrifying Conversations Conference in conjunction with Big Boys Toys on November 1, due to arrive in Wellington on November 8.
Electrifying Conversations stems from Dee West’s new podcast of the same name, the conference and road trip designed to spark conversations on electrification, sustainability and energy independence.
Road trip stops include meeting councils, agencies, iwi and businesses in various towns and cities along the way, with international guests Philippe Vangeel of the European Association for Electromobility, Argentinian Dynami battery entrepreneur Sergio Baron and two Scottish EV Association members on the ride.

West describes Taranaki as New Zealand’s energy epicentre, where a multi-million dollar clean energy centre is planned.
The roadshow is supporting an EV rides and drives hour plus EV displays and more at the Novotel Hotel Hobson carpark on November 6 from 3.30pm.
A ‘Mayoral Breakfast’ at the New Plymouth District Council Chambers on November 7 is expected to be attended by energy and resources minister Dr Megan Woods and roadshow members.
