Evans bros finish e-racing season fourth and fifth
.Simon Evans finished the inaugural Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy series in fourth after winning the opening race, while brother Mitch was fifth in the ABB FIA Formula E for Panasonic Jaguar Racing.
Both had an outside chance of taking their respective titles in the final event in New York.
But a last lap collision in Manhattan cost Mitch Evans who limped home in 17th place for fifth overall in the series on 105 points after running second in his previous two races. That equalled his 2015 placing.
Simon Evans ended his season for Team Asia New Zealand in fourth on 106 points, coming third in his final race in the Giltrap Group backed I-Pace.
The eTrophy support series to the Formula E racing was won by Brazil’s Sergio Jiminez while the Formula E champion was France’s Jean-Eric Vergne.

The new season resumes on November 22 in Saudi Arabia.
