EVworld NZ changes name and format

The eworld expo is coming on October 30-31.

The name has been changed from EVworld NZ to better represent all forms of e-mobility and associated sustainable technologies for the home and consumer.

It’s still at the ASB Showgrounds in Greenlane, Auckland, and retains the EV Champions Awards but adds a whole host of other “e”-related events and items.

“The EVworld show has been re-imagined into an event covering many facets of all things electric,” organiser Conferenz says.

The 2020 show will have five zones – dedicated to key electro-mobility and automation solutions.

The electric vehicle component of the eworld expo will remain at the centre of the expo hall, dedicated to OEMs and EV dealers who wish to display EVs in all their forms.

That includes electric cars, trucks, vans, buses, and all associated infrastructure such as charging equipment, billing systems, battery tech, EV maintenance, EV equipment, cabling, and much more.

EVs on display inside the expo hall will link to outdoor test rides and drives for all visitors.

A major addition is “ehome world” featuring home automation tech, and solar panels and equipment connected with electric mobility and connected home network technologies.

Smart meters, smart plugs, robo-vacuums, smart lighting systems, home hubs, digital assistants and smart displays, smart home security and thermostats are all included.

Then there’s “ebike world” comprising OEMs and e-bike importers and distributors.

A dedicated e-bike test track will again feature, with the opportunity to test ride a wide variety of electric bikes.

Safety gear like smart helmets will be on display too, while the latest battery tech for e-bikes and associated infrastructure will also be available.

A closely linked but separate “escooter world” will be dedicated to other forms of micro-mobility.

Ride on electric scooters, stand-on micro e-scooters, e-skateboards, smart hoverboards, electric unicycles and more will be displayed, also be able to be tested on a track at the event.

An associated “emobility world” will feature developments in electric chairs and solutions for disabled or movement-impaired people, and technology developments in aged care.

Conferenz proudly launched the EVworld expo, EV Champions Awards and industry conferences in 2017 in Manukau.

It has successfully run these events annually since, with a growing exhibitor and visitor base which necessitated a move to the larger ASB Showgrounds in 2018.

Conferenz says eworld will be the key event to meet, experience and do business with prospective buyers and promoters of battery electric vehicles (BEVs), plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), e-bikes, e-scooters and micro mobility, electric and hybrid commercial vehicles, chargers and infrastructure, solar panels and PV, renewable energy solutions, battery storage and home automation, e-mobility scooters and e-wheelchairs, parts and accessories, OEM EV equipment, and much more.
