Geely Galaxy E8 EV for China

Geely has launched the Galaxy E8 in China.

It’s a fully electric sedan starting at the equivalent of under NZ$40,000 (US$25,000), InsideEVs reports.

Geely says the E8 is the first EV in its Galaxy series. The Galaxy L6 and L7 hybrids are already on sale, and Geely intends releasing three more EVs and several more hybrids for this model line.

While it isn’t Geely Holding Group’s first electric sedan (Volvo, Zeekr, and Polestar have them in China and globally), it is the first Geely-branded EV on sale and the first Geely car to use the SEA platform – also used by the Zeekr 001, and Polestar 4, says InsideEVs.

CNevpost says the Galaxy E8 is a “high-value” pure EV, competing in China’s B-segment (aka D-segment or midsize) category.
