Guide to gaining EV funds
A 27-page guide designed to increase a potential applicant’s chances of getting funding for EV related projects from the Government’s low emission vehicles contestable fund has been produced by Break Point Consulting.
That’s in time for the fund’s sixth round, for which applications are expected to open shortly.
In late January, energy and resources minister Megan Woods announced the 31 successful applicants who gained a share of the $11 million available ($4.3m government co-funding and $7.3m from the private sector).
The fund provides up to $7m annually to co-fund up to 50% of project costs.

The new guide, available for $399 plus GST, provides key insights from experience in attaining funding help.
It includes information such as how to use various resources to increase the chances of success, how to make the application stand out, insights from other applicants, when to get the application in, and more.
Break Point Consulting can also help applicants through other means, such as producing a draft application for refinement.
The company’s founder and principal consultant Nigel Broomhall says the guide covers what the fund is looking for (and what they aren’t), working with the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) which administers the fund, getting the numbers right, detail on key sections and being creative.
