Hyundai Kona Electric 400km range anticipated

A 400km range is estimated for the Hyundai Kona Electric, its US market version unveiled at the 2018 New York International Auto Show, March 30-April 8.

The Kona Electric is Hyundai’s first compact electric crossover for the US market and includes plenty of standard safety equipment and connectivity.

Its 2019 models will be produced in Ulsan, Korea, and available in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Highlights include LED headlight, taillight and daytime running light illumination signature, a high-efficiency 150kW electric powertrain, a high-voltage 64kWh lithium-ion battery, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection, driver attention warning, lane keeping assist, blind-spot collision warning, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, and much more.
