Jaguar EV duo pop up in The Showroom

Just in time for the school holidays, two Jaguar electric vehicles have popped up in The Showroom which is operated by the Giltrap Group on the first floor of the luxury precinct of Westfield Newmarket.
Until Tuesday May 3, Simon Evans’ championship-winning eTrophy I-Pace, the winning trophy and his race suit will be on display as well as the brand’s road-going EV range.
Simon’s brother Mitch features in the upcoming April EVs and Beyond magazine after winning a Rome double-header in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, with Simon and other members of the Evans family also mentioned.
The Showroom is on Level 1, near the David Jones and Jimmy Choo retail stores.
Jaguar Land Rover New Zealand public relations and events executive Morgan Banks says there will be a prize draw for any car-mad kids to enter.
Banks says there will be a daily prize draw of Lego Speed Champions Jaguar race car kits and a grand prize of a racetrack experience with motorsport celebrity Greg Murphy.“If you’re a classic Jaguar owner, present us with your keys and you’ll receive a complimentary 100 Years of Jaguar book, while our stocks last,” Banks says.
Jaguar has its sights set on a more sustainable, all-electric future, and Banks says it was the first brand to offer a premium all-electric performance SUV in the Jaguar I-Pace.
She says the I-Pace has proven itself on the road and on the track, winning New Zealand Car of the Year 2019 and demonstrating thrilling performance in the eTrophy series, where drivers the world over competed in track-tuned I-Pace race cars.
The series was cancelled after the 2019–20 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
