Jaguar shows Type 01’s interior for the first time, exterior still hidden
Jaguar releases the first interior images of the production Type 01, showing a full-length central spine dividing the cabin into four spaces, ahead of its full reveal in New York on 6 October.
Jaguar has released the first images of the production Type 01’s interior, while continuing to keep its exterior entirely under wraps.
The Type 00 concept that introduced this design language arrived in December 2024, and the production car has since been spotted testing in the Arctic and around the streets of Monaco, always disguised. The interior reveal is the clearest look yet at what buyers will actually get.

The standout feature is a central spine running the full length of the cabin, dividing the interior into four individual spaces rather than following the horizontal, driver-and-passenger layout most cars use. Jaguar’s chief interior designer, Thomas Holden, says the approach emphasises the car’s “dramatic longitudinal nature” in place of convention.
“With authentic materials, technology on demand and reductive flowing surfaces, Type 01 presents unmistakable drama and theatre,” Holden says.

Translated out of designer-speak, that means a driving position Jaguar calls cossetting, and a tonal colour palette drawn from travertine stone, the pale, layered rock more commonly found holding up Roman columns than dashboards. Between the materials and the four-zone cabin, a price well into six figures looks inevitable.

The timing lines up with two big dates on Jaguar’s calendar. The car will appear, still wrapped, at the Pebble Beach Concours this week, before the full unveiling in New York on 6 October.

Jaguar has staked its entire relaunch on this car landing well, having paused sales of every other model to rebuild the brand from scratch as an electric-only, ultra-luxury marque. Two months out from the reveal, the interior is the first real evidence of what that reinvention actually looks like from the driver’s seat.
