Kiwis first and second in ABB FE Monaco E-Prix
Kiwis Mitch Evans and Nick Cassidy were first and second respectively in the 2024 Round 8 Monaco E-Prix.
Cassidy also got a bonus point for the fastest lap, helping Jaguar TCS Racing take a total 44 points from the Monaco event on April 27 to put the British marque within eight points of Porsche in the Manufacturers’ Trophy.
Second on 95 points behind Tag Heuer Porsche’s Pascal Wehrlein on 102 points in the Driver’s standings, Cassidy is ahead of Evans in fifth with 77 points.
Jaguar TCS Racing tops the Teams’ running on 172 points to TAG Heuer Porsche’s 128.
The next event is a double header in Berlin on May 11 and 12 (Rounds 9 and 10 of Season 10).
Meanwhile, Jaguar TCS Racing has confirmed its long-term future with a commitment to compete in the GEN4 era of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship starting 2026 and including seasons 13-16 through to 2030.
Technology and expertise developed and proven on-track by Jaguar TCS Racing will support the next generation of Jaguar all-electric vehicles.
The GEN4 race cars are still under development and will feature 600kW power and 700kW regenerative braking – a big increase on the GEN3 era’s 350kW and 600kW respectively.
Jaguar TCS Racing continues to race the Jaguar I-Type 6 in 2024.
