Launch date announced for pickup truck solar charging system

A Canadian manufacturer of tonneau and bed covers for pickup trucks such as the Ford F-150, Ram 1500, and Chevrolet Silverado has announced a launch date of its latest add-on solar accessory.

Worksport Ltd says the global launch of its TerraVis solar charging system for pickup trucks will take place online at www.goterravis.com

on August 20 at 2pm U.S Eastern standard time.

According to Worksport, the TerraVis system will be the world’s first mobile solar charging bed cover system designed for pickup trucks that can store 2-3 kW of power and will also provide a meaningful source of energy to power forthcoming electric trucks.

Worksport says TerraVis will provide users with a customised experience, allowing the ability to do more with the truck while providing a meaningful energy source with no carbon footprint.

It has been developing and refining this new technological breakthrough for many years and has applied for the appropriate patents to preserve and secure its intellectual property.

“The launch will comprise product videos, photos, and early specifications as the company works towards finalising the product and negotiating partnerships,” Worksport president and chief executive officer Steven Rossi says.
