MG NZ offers EV rebate top up

MG New Zealand has announced a special, limited time rebate $2000 top up applicable to select new battery electric vehicle (BEV) and all new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) purchases until the end of June.

“There has been incredible interest in the MG range of fully electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles and we want to further encourage and incentivise motorists to make the switch to clean driving,” says MG NZ country manager Patrick Bourke.

“Our ZS EV and HS PHEV offer unparalleled levels of value which is enhanced even further by this special offer,” he explains. 

“For example, when combined with the full Clean Car rebate of $8625, the customer cost for a new ZS EV Essence Standard Range reduces more than $10,000 to less than $45,000.”

“This represents a compelling opportunity for people to take charge and make the switch to emissions-free motoring,” says Bourke.

All models on offer in the incentive programme, alongside all other new models in the MG range, come with seven years unlimited kilometre warranty, seven years roadside assistance and seven years warrant of fitness checks as standard.

To complement the rebate top up programme, MG is also offering a $500 discount on any available MG Aurora Charge Hub and is available on any ZS EV or HS PHEV, provided the unit is purchased within six months of the vehicle purchase date.

“The rebate top up offer, combined with the special discount on the Charge Hub unit, means there’s never been a better time to plug into plug-in powertrains,” says Bourke.

“All 14 MG dealers around the country have demonstrator vehicles for test drives, with these models available for immediate delivery.”

The $2000 rebate top up includes the MG ZS EV Essence standard range (customer cost $43,365), the MG ZS EV Essence long range (customer cost $54,365), the MG HS PHEV Excite ($45,240) and the MG HS PHEV Essence ($49,240).
