Mitch Evans wins Mexico Formula E
Kiwi racing driver Mitch Evans has won the fifth round of the 2019/20 ABB FIA Formula E Championship in Mexico City.
It gives him a one-point lead in the Formula E driver’s championship and the Panasonic Jaguar Racing team is now second in the team championship with 26 points.
Evans finished more than four seconds ahead of second placed António Félix da Costa, controlling the race from the first corner of the first lap.

Teammate James Calado finished ninth before being disqualified due to a technical energy infringement.
“We’ve really shown our pace this weekend and now the plan is to achieve this again across the season,” says Evans, driving the Jaguar I-Type 4.
It’s his second win in 41 Formula E starts.
He will race again in round six at Marrakesh on February 29.
