More EV suppliers for government agencies
Two electric vehicle suppliers have been added to the All-of-Government motor vehicles contract.
New Zealand Government Procurement welcomes new suppliers Motorcorp Distributors Limited (representing Jaguar and Land Rover) and Nissan New Zealand Limited.
“Proud to announce the Nissan Leaf is the newest addition to the NZ All-of-Government list’s electric vehicle category,” Nissan NZ corporate business manager Thomas Hill says.
“The world’s number one selling EV is now an incredible value proposition for all Government entities.”
This addition gives government agencies more choice towards an emissions-free government fleet.
There are now 13 vehicle suppliers on the contract, nine of those able to provide EVs for purchase or lease.
The Government is aiming for all its light-vehicles to be emissions-free by 2025/26, on its way to a net-zero emissions economy by 2050.
