Mustang Mach-E is out

Ford’s all-electric Mustang Mach-E – its first under a US$11 billion investment plan in EVs through 2022 – is reported to be arriving in US dealership showrooms now.

The Mach-E has yet to be confirmed for here, Ford New Zealand says, the situation unchanged from when EVs and Beyond last reported on it.

Meanwhile, Ford is trying to create some Tesla-type buzz and convince Wall Street that its EV plans are headed in the right direction, CNBC reports.

Ford is focussing efforts on electrifying its popular commercial vehicles and versions of its most iconic brands such as the F-150 and Mustang and is aiming at new EV buyers.

The Mach-E was unveiled in California on November 17, 2019.

It’s said to have a 482km range and the price is reported to range from about US$44,000 for the base Select model to US$60,500 for a performance GT, the latter due to go on sale in the US later next year.
