New BEVs at Take Charge Expo
The public free-to-attend Take Charge Expo at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre on November 23 and 24 showcases more than 20 battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
The Kia EV3 will be displayed to the public for the first time in New Zealand at such an event, says organiser Take Charge Events Limited, adding the event will allow people to check out the technology available to make the switch from fossil-fuelled vehicles.
The BEVs cover a range of price points and include brands such as BMW, BYD, Cupra, Kia, MG, Mini, Omoda, Porsche, Tesla, Volkswagen and Volvo.
Evnex will display its EV charger too.
“The Take Charge Expo is free to attend to encourage anyone with an interest in battery electric vehicles to come along and see first-hand the range of technology on display and ask questions of the expert exhibitors,” says Take Charge Events Limited director Kevin Crutchley.
“There will be prizes available, courtesy of some of the exhibitors.”
The Take Charge Expo is open to the public from 10am to 5pm Saturday November 23, and from 9am to 4pm Sunday November 24.
Entry is via Cathedral Square.
