Ford’s reveal of its new Mondeo HEV at Fieldays is just the beginning of the company’s move into the electric vehicle space.
Company spokesman Tom Clancy told EVTalk the hybrid’s introduction to the market is a move towards creating a plug-in hybrid and pure EV.

The Mondeo HEV on display at the annual event is the first in the country and will be available through dealers as a special order from October.
The HEV has a 2.0 litre petrol engine, backed up by a 35kW electric motor.
It is priced at $55,990, plus on road costs.
