Nissan plans more electrics

Nissan intends selling electric versions of all new and redesigned models for the Japanese market starting in 2020.

Renowned for the Nissan Leaf, the company will produce an electric SUV later this year and an electric variation of its Dayz minicar next year.

Nissan will also offer hybrid versions of the Kicks SUV due in Japan later in 2020, the Note subcompact, and the X-Trail SUV – its moves coming under tighter emissions rules, the Nikkei Asian Review

reports.

The Japan-based company wants 50% of its sales in Europe and 30% in China to comprise EVs in the 2022 financial year.
