NZ Electro Mobility Summit in August
Transitioning to a carbon free future for New Zealand’s transport system is the focus of the New Zealand Electro Mobility Summit at Auckland’s Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau on August 11 and 12.
It will explore EVs’ growing role, e-mobility and other lower emissions fuel technologies in supporting the delivery of transport, logistics and fleet decarbonisation.
The summit also examines recent and upcoming government policies such as the Clean Car programme, new vehicles coming and how Kiwis’ behaviour must adapt to get the most out of EVs.
Speakers include transport minister Michael Wood, ABB e-mobility product marketing manager Debbie van der Schyff and Ministry of Transport environment, emissions and adaptation senior adviser Sigurd Magnusson.
Wood is expected to outline the Government’s roadmap to increase decarbonisation of transport in New Zealand as part of the Emissions Reduction Plan (ERP).
Other speakers are from the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA), ChargeNet NZ, FleetPartners, Ford New Zealand, Auckland Transport, Hiringa Energy, Audi New Zealand, Drive Electric, TransNet and SEA Electric.
The summit will also learn more about how entry barriers for acquiring EVs can improve, what’s needed from charging infrastructure to ensure it can meet the needs of electric fleets, and considers options for decarbonised transport including hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).
The latest from manufacturers on EVs for a wide range of business requirements will also be explained, while the summit includes exhibits from leading EV manufacturers and charging infrastructure.
It’s organised by Brightstar (formerly Conferenz) and can be attended live or virtually.
