Ohmio Automotion’s Mohammed Hikmet honoured

Auckland-based HMI Technologies chairman and Ohmio Automotion autonomous vehicle founder Mohammed Hikmet has won the technology and emerging industries category in the New Zealand EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards.

Hikmet, who was Intelligent Transport Systems NZ president for many years, was among five of New Zealand’s top entrepreneurs to receive awards from among 16 finalists covering a range of industries.

“It is an honour to receive such a recognition from EY and to be among very special businesses in New Zealand,” Hikmet says.

An overall winner is announced in October who then competes for the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Monte Carlo in 2020, with 60 countries each sending a national winner.
