Orders open for new MG ZS EV
The new MG ZS EV is open for orders, available from $49,990 driveaway for the Excite and $52,990 driveaway for the range-topping Essence.
It will launch mid-year and features a comprehensive styling makeover, a completely new interior treatment and a new, more efficient and better-performing powertrain.
Customers can choose from the two variants eligible for Clean Car discounts of $8625, both featuring a new, high-specification 51kWh high-voltage battery providing up to 320km range, an updated electric motor and enhanced battery management electronics.
An option for people not quite ready to make the switch to full-electric is the MG HS Plus EV, with MG Motor adding a more value-packed variant of its successful HS Plus EV to the model portfolio.
Known as the HS Plus Excite, it takes inspiration from the leading technology features that have made the HS Plus EV a hit here.
Available from $50,990, the new model is eligible for a rebate of $5750 and shares the same 189kW/370Nm petrol-electric powertrain, plug-in battery and comprehensive safety technology as its high-specification stablemate.
“Thanks to Clean Car rebates on electric and plug-in vehicles, there is no better time than now to make the switch to greener, more sustainable motoring,” says MG Motor Australia and New Zealand chief executive Peter Ciao.
“An electric and plug-in vehicle is cost effective and delivers price certainty, which is all the more desirable with high and fluctuating fuel prices.”
Every new MG sold in New Zealand comes standard with seven-year warranty, seven-year roadside assistance and seven-year warrant of fitness checks and feature transparent ‘driveaway, no more to pay’ pricing.
The ‘seven-year trifecta’ remains with the vehicle and is transferable from one owner to the next, adding to the total cost of ownership value-equation.
