Porsche opens fourth Charging Lounge

Fast charging up to 400kW is provided around-the-clock at the new Porsche Charging Lounge in Ingolstadt, Germany.

Four DC fast-charging stations with a charging capacity of up to 400kW and four AC charging points with 22kW are available at the Porsche Centre.

At the three existing lounge locations, the maximum charging capacity of the fast-charging stations has also been increased from 300kW to 400kW.

Central handling of charging costs via the Porsche Charging Service is included in the charging lounges.

The Ingolstadt Porsche Centre is on the A9 north-south connection.

Porsche says it suits all its electric and plug-in hybrid models, with charging capacities of more than 300kW possible for up to five minutes.

The brand says its new Macan EV can also be charged from 10% to 80% in about 21 minutes at the centre.

Porsche says the Ingolstadt lounge features modern sanitary facilities and a well-stocked selection of soft drinks and snacks. Analogue and digital media and high-performance wifi are also available.

 More are planned with Porsche Charging Lounges displayed in the navigation system and in the My Porsche App.

A Porsche ID linked to the car is required to access the charging stations and the lounge area.

Nearly 700,000 charging points are available to Porsche in 24 European countries.

In addition, more than 845 Porsche dealer locations offer 1500 high-performance charging points for customers at sites worldwide.

A special Charge Box is installed which enables a charging capacity of up to 320kW even in places where grid connections are power-limited.
