Price cut for Toyota bZ4X

Toyota bZ4X EV

Toyota has reduced the price of its bZ4X electric SUV by up to $17,000.

The brand is selling its Pure front-wheel driver entry level model for $57,990 – $15,000 less that the previous $72,990 price, and the all-wheel drive Motion for $65,990 – $17,000 less than the previous $82,990.

Both have the 71.4kWh battery.

It’s not the only brand to cut its New Zealand new price -the GWM Ora has done the same while the Omoda E5 has reportedly trimmed $7000 off its BX (to $40,990) and $10,000 off its EX to $44,990.

Nissan is possibly considering more price reductions as well, while lowering its entry level new Leaf to $29,990 and recently launching the Ariya EV.

The Geely EX5 is expected to have a low price when launching here and in Australia next year and many other fairly cheap China EVs are due too.
