Smart shuttle planned

Fisker Orbit Autonomous Shuttle

A driverless electric shuttle called the Fisker Orbit is planned in a joint effort by US-based Fisker Inc and Hakim Unique Group of China.

Deliveries are expected to start by the end of next year.

Hakim, led by Qicheng Wang (Jack Wong), has more than 160 wholly owned or partly controlled companies, while Fisker Inc is led by automotive design icon and industry revolutionary Henrik Fisker.

Fisker says it’s not just about EVs but “exploring new frontiers in technology across multiple industries for the advancement of human mobility and progression of society as a whole”.

Wang says they share the same values around smart transportation and improved public transport to help promote social progress.

Fisker Inc. will be responsible for the Orbit’s technology development and product design, while Hakim will be responsible for marketing and operation in China/Asia.

Hakim has offices in nine major world cities and is involved with media, healthcare, finance, intelligent applications and other innovative industries.
