The Kia Stinger will be axed by the second quarter of 2022, but will it become an EV or be replaced by an EV?
The Korean Car Blog cites industry sources saying Kia has released its 2022 production plans for all of its South Korean plants, including the Sohari plant, and revealed it will stop production of the Stinger by the second quarter of 2022 after several adjustments due to the Stinger’s continued sluggish sales.
However, earlier that year Kia will transition its Sohar plant to mass production of electrified vehicles such as the Carnival Hybrid variant, which has prompted the Korean Car Blog to ponder if the Stinger will become electrified or be replaced by something like the EV6.
