You can watch the livestream of Tesla’s Battery Day which starts with Tesla’s 2020 Annual Meeting on  September 23 at 6.30am AEST in Australia and 8.30am in New Zealand.

“Exciting things” have been promised by Tesla chief executive Elon Musk for Tesla Battery Day, which is held in the afternoon on September 22 in the US but the morning of September 23 in our time zone.

That’s fuelled speculation Tesla may be announcing its ‘Roadrunner’ project around battery cell manufacturing along with an associated Model S ‘Plaid’ powertrain reported to have three electric motors with more power and speed, coming in above the Performance version.

However, Musk has tweeted the Battery Day announcement will affect long-term production, especially for the Semi, Cybertruck and Roadster – “but what we announce will not reach serious high-volume production until 2022”.
