Tesla benefits from Musk’s big weekend
Tesla and SpaceX chief executive Elon Musk not only watched his latter company successfully launch two astronauts into space at the weekend but he is seeing great outcomes for his EV firm as well.
EV industry research company Cairn Energy Research Advisors forecasts a surge in EV sales in 2021 amid a global push encouraging people to buy battery electric vehicles (BEVs) estimating EV sales in 2021 will soar 36% and top three million vehicles for the first time, with Musk set to take advantage.
Meanwhile, Musk has qualified for the first tranche of his multi-million dollar performance bonus and Tesla gained significant upgrades from some analysts based on its outlook, Teslarati reports.
Electrek also reports big gains for Tesla from the space launch.
Tesla is widely tipped to make greater inroads in China and Europe, especially with tighter emission standards being introduced, and it has heavy machinery doing the groundwork on its Gigafactory 4 near Berlin.

Would it be possible to have LHD Tesla Cybertrucks permitted new in NewZealand so we are not going to wait many months/years before American domestic need Is partially satisfied?
Those who are comfortable with driving LHD vehicles in New Zealand know it is quite safe and rarely if ever a cause for accidents. There are already thousands of LHD classic cars on our roads.
Accidents are caused by a raft of human errors and vehicle deficiencies rather than vehicle design. These are entirely down to poor decisions re behaviour, vehicle maintenance, non compliance with WOFs, cell phone use, alcohol and drug impaired driving, fatigue, distraction, road surface etc. Not, whether a vehicle is left or right hand drive.
One should not forget arrogant cyclists (I know you are not one of those!) careless pedestrians on phones etc.
