Tesla Bioweapon Defence Mode praised in US wildfires
Tesla Model S and Model X owners are praising their vehicles’ Bioweapon Defence Mode system, which allows occupants to breathe clean air, while passing near California’s wildfires.
Several major fires are reported in California which have destroyed vast areas, homes and killed two people, causing heavy smoke and dangerous air conditions, Teslarati reports.
The Bioweapon Defence Mode was also put to the test in the November 2018 California wildfires.
In the latest situation, Tesla owners have praised the mode on Twitter, one Model X owner describing it as a “life saver” after passing near fires outside Los Angeles.
Another described a similar experience after driving through an area almost surrounded by fires
The Tesla Bioweapon Defence Mode improves cabin air quality by removing at least 99.97% of fine particulate matter and gaseous pollutants, including bacteria, viruses, pollen, and mould spores via a large HEPA filter.
