Tesla delivers 310,000 EVs in first quarter
Tesla says it produced more than 305,000 vehicles and delivered in excess of 310,000 in the first quarter of 2022, in spite of ongoing supply chain challenges and factory shutdowns.
Deliveries included 295,324 Model 3s and Model Ys, and 14,724 Model S and Model X EVs, Tesla adding it will post its first quarter financial results on April 20.
“Tesla will issue a brief advisory containing a link to the Q1 2022 update, which will be available on Tesla’s Investor Relations website. Tesla management will hold a live question and answer webcast that day at 4.30pm Central Time (5.30pm Eastern Time) to discuss the company’s financial and business results and outlook.”
Tesla says about two hours after a Q&A session, an archived version of the webcast will be available on the company’s website.
Media reports suggest that with four giga factories (including Giga Texas launching shortly), Tesla should be able to deliver a million or more EVs in a year for the first time.
