Tesla gift to Destiny Church leaders

Brian-and-Hannah-Tamaki

Destiny Church leaders Brian and Hannah Tamaki reportedly left Auckland just before the region’s level 3 lockdown for Rotorua – but did they travel in a Tesla?

It’s uncertain that’s the case although Hannah Tamaki says a Tesla was given to her, but by who we don’t know. Was it a gift from a follower who is perhaps also an Elon Musk disciple?

The Tamakis arrived in Rotorua around midnight to participate in a Sunday morning service at a Destiny Church there under level 2 restrictions where religious buildings can open and host up to 100 people in each defined space.

Social distancing requirements were followed, according to Hannah Tamaki’s Facebook post.

The Tamakis say it was better for them to be in Rotorua rather than cooped up in Auckland, where level 3 restrictions applied at 6am on Sunday February 28, Stuff reports.

Meanwhile, a church which breached level 3 restrictions in Auckland was also covered by Stuff amid concerns about some churches defying lockdown rules.

Hannah Tamaki later posted on Facebook they are now touring the country and aim to be in Invercargill this weekend.
