Tritium’s finger is on the Pulse
Brisbane-based EV DC fast charging provider Tritium is making its Pulse software platform available to customers in more than 33 countries.
A cloud web application, Pulse enables world-leading remote monitoring and analysis of EV charger networks.
“This platform is more advanced than anything on the market and positions our customers with a single-pane-of-glass view of their network,” Tritium co-founder and chief growth officer David Finn says.
“This common view of a single network will allow customers of all sizes – from those with a few chargers to those with hundreds – to simplify managing their chargers, help them achieve better uptime and give them unique insights in ways that their current backends don’t or can’t.
“Organisations across the globe have had to rapidly reinvent the way they do business and operate on the fly,” Finn explains.
“Charge point operators are no exception, with networks needing to maintain uptime but all while in lockdown. Pulse assists operators to zero in on the performance of single chargers and get a holistic view of their network, all from a remote location and from a browser while our engineer-led support team assists with any issues in the background.”

The network of Tritium chargers is visible on Pulse immediately once connected and can interoperate with any existing open charge point protocol (OCPP) back-end or network management software.
The platform allows customers to increase their knowledge on the use and operation of their networks, ensuring a quicker path to return on investment by increasing uptime and enabling a more efficient and more effective management of their entire network, regardless of the network’s size, Tritium says.
Through Pulse, customers can zoom in on each charger, allowing them to view real-time operational performance and quality-of-charge data to achieve optimal reliability and help support drivers at the point-of-charge.
Viewers can see what happened during a charge session, and sort and explore specific charge sessions by date and time.
“Operators looking at network management often have to create their own backend to support and visualise their network, which for many is an expensive proposition,” Finn says.
“Pulse takes the burden of heavy lifting when it comes to network visibility, allowing operators to increase their insights into the network’s operations, enabling them to operate their networks more efficiently and effectively, thus improving their return on investment.”
Tritium’s technology is used in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, US, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Norway.
