The BMW i3 could become a power dispenser.

A press release from the automaker hints at the likely development of using the all-electric car to power other devices and possible vehicle to grid (V2G) capabilities.

Few details are provided around a video A glimpse into the future by BMW i: The simple life featuring an artisan cheese maker in the Alps living off-grid then driving his BMW i3 down the mountain to his town market cheese stall where he plugs his cheese cutter and coffee machine into the car.

Overseas media reports suggest BMW plans to introduce a 120Ah battery by the end of 2018 or early 2019. The NEDC range for the new battery would give the i3 a 350km range and perhaps some new functions.
