Video: CityCare adds electric LDV van to fleet
National maintenance, construction and management services provider Citycare Group has taken on an LDV EV80 electric van.
The Christchurch City Council owned Citycare Water team’s van joins a number of Hyundai Ioniqs and Renault Kangoo EVs already operating in Citycare’s fleet of about 60 vehicles.

It has seven depots around the country.
Citycare says it believes its EV80 is the first to be registered in New Zealand and that the latest acquisition will further advance its push into electric vehicle technology.
The LDV EV80 has a 1000kg maximum payload and uses large-capacity 56kWh lithium iron phosphate battery technology that can be fully charged in two hours.
Its real-world range is around 150km to 180km.
