Video: Electric Aston Martin DB5 ‘Junior’ hatched

A limited production run of James Bond-style Aston Martin DB5 Junior EVs will be built in partnership with The Little Car Company in the United Kingdom, starting next year.

The 66% scale of the DB5 first released 57 years ago will see about 1059 “Junior” cars produced, similar to production numbers of the original built from 1963 to 1965.

Existing DB5 owners get first refusal on the DB5 Junior chassis number to match their full-size car.

It’s expensive – priced from 35,000 pounds, and at three metres long and more than a metre wide can fit an adult plus a child.

The DB5 Junior has up to 35km range, with the option of a second battery to double that, and can get to about 50km/h.

While there are many similarities with the original DB5, there are also plenty of extras.
