Video: Woman implants chip in arm to unlock Tesla Model 3

One woman has implanted a chip in her arm to try out a new way of unlocking her car.

Amie DD embedded the valet chip from her Tesla Model 3 into her arm, literally “being one” with her car.

DD removed the RFID chip from the valet card using acetone and put it into a biopolymer. A professional injected the chip into her arm using a hollow needle. Previously, DD tried to rewrite an RFID chip that she already had installed in her hand for other uses but did not work due to Tesla’s security features.

The video shows the process of the chip being implanted. DD warns there is blood in the video.

Unfortunately, the video does not show the chip in use.

In the YouTube comments section, reactions are mixed. While there is more support of the idea, calling it “pretty sweet,” “impressive” and “so damn cool,” some are calling it a sick idea and says it is treading in “dangerous waters.”
